Violectric HPA V222 Premium Balanced Headphone Amplifier

1-Year Local Warranty.

The HPA V222 is a newly developed balanced headphone amplifier in the Violectric range.

As a true (!!) balanced amplifier it is equipped with four amplifier stages and not only balanced connectors!

The roots of the amplifier circuitry can be found in its praised and rewards winning predecessors V200, V220, V280 and V281. Inside HPA V222 it features the similar natural but smooth and pleasing sound. Because of its matchless technology HPA V222 not only offers a powerful headphone amplifier, but also:

  • LOWEST NOISE through a very small amount of internal gain. This makes the amplifier's self-generated noise inaudible.
  • HIGH OUTPUT VOLTAGE through 50 V internal operating voltage. Therefore ideally suited for high-impedance headphones deserving high output voltage swing.
  • HIGH OUTPUT POWER thanks to powerful amplifiers that offer far more power even the most demanding headphones would need. So best suited for headphones with low impedances as well as magnetostatic headphones !!
  • HIGH DAMPING FACTOR due to lowest output impedance. Therefore the ideal match for difficult-to-drive headphones without negative side effects and with the guarantee for uncompromising frequency response.

The HPA V222 offers:

  • 2 stereo inputs, balanced via XLR, unbalanced via RCA
  • Inputs switchable on the front panel
  • +/- 18 dB Pre-Gain for a perfect match of the HPA V202 between source and headphones
  • Volume control with Alps RK 27 attenuator
  • Big 38 mm massive aluminium knob
  • Powerful balanced stereo amplifier (4 power stages)
  • 3500 mW Pmax into 50 Ohm
  • 23,2 V RMS into 600 Ohm
  • Delayed coupling of the headphones to the amp after power-on
  • Headphone outputs: 1 x Pentaconn, bal., 1 x 4-pin XLR, bal., 1 x ¼” jack, unbal.
  • Built-in power supply with a toroidal transformer
  • 22.000 uF filter capacity

The inputs on the back may be selected by a front panel switch.

The active and buffered signal is routed to the attenuator made with RK 27 potentiometer and afterwards to the four power amplifiers. These are further developments of the famous “V200” circuitry.

Connect your (balanced) headphones to the HPA V222 and enjoy a compact and fantastic-sounding headphone amplifier with the praised warm and soft, but natural and precise Violectric sound !!
