Dekoni Audio Elite Velour Replacement Ear Pads for Audio Technica ATH-M Series Headphones

*No Warranty

The Sony MDR7506 (USA) and CDR900ST (Asia) are the longest standing standards in studio monitoring headphones for more than 30 years.åÊ In the late 2000‰۪s, Audio Technica changed the game releasing the original ATH-M50, and subsequently the ATH-M50X.åÊ The M50‰۪s served not only the professional studio world, but also crossed over to the consumer mass market taking it by storm.åÊ One of the best bangs for the buck in headphones, the sound is excellent, but the pads leave some room for improvement.åÊ Dekoni tasked itself to improve both the sound and comfort of the M50‰۪s and the 7506. This was the first premium pad group ever released by Dekoni Audio (7506/M50x), and it was our first major success.

Co-Founder Tal, was a live sound engineer on tour with national acts for more than 10 years.åÊ Looking online he could only find cheap replacements for his worn out pads, which were uncomfortable and made of cheap pleather.åÊ He tasked himself to create something even he could wear on tour, for long sessions at back of house or in the studio.åÊ From this idea, Dekoni Audio was born.

åÊThese pads fit the Audio Technica ATHM50, ATHM40,åÊ ATHM30, ATHM20, ATHM70, as well as the X versions of those headphones. They also fit the Sony MDRV-7506, CDR900ST and Sony V6, and many other similar headphones.

Dekoni Audio spent a lot of time designing and refining this ear pad to be the most comfortable and best sounding velour ear pads available today. This velour material is not quite alcantara but not the typical velour you find on other ear pads. This velour is softer and more breathable while still acting like a traditional protein leather in the way it doesn‰۪t absorb all the low end you lose to most velour ear pads. By using a tighter velour Dekoni has managed to make the ear pad react more like a traditional leather or protein leather ear pad in that you don‰۪t lose the bass frequencies or the isolation as seen with most velour ear pads. It still retains the comfort and coolness of velour. Paired with the slow rebound, high density memory foam Dekoni is famous for they have created possibly the ultimate velour ear pads on the market today. What sets Dekoni apart from the herd is they tune every pad they make to specific headphones so you know you‰۪re getting an upgrade and not just a replacement.
